Calaveras County Farm Bureau

President's Message - January 2018

Rain, Rain, Rain I know we are all doing some sort of hoping and praying for the rain…

As we step into 2018 we are already starting off with challenges. At the same time I step into the role of your Calaveras County Farm Bureau President.

I have been mentored by some remarkable people before me; I look forward to fulfilling the shoes left behind. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Mindy Rasmussen. I am not Calaveras County native but I have been here for about 30 plus years. I have attended school, worked, married, volunteered and raised a family in this county. Our family has cattle we raise in Angels Camp and summer in the high country. I am excited to be facing the challenges ahead and hope I can bring my leadership to this organization.

One thing I saw that was missing when I joined farm bureau was getting more young people involved. I am ecstatic to have some special young people joining our organization and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the future.

I hope you will get to know me and let me know if there is anything I can help you with as I venture forth as the new president.

I hope this year is prosperous for you.
